Sunset today.. I'm sad I missed the full impact of the picture... by like a minute... The sun was AWESOME looking! But it set too fast and I couldn't get it!

Then we stayed up until 12:30 watching TV...

**Friday night dinner**

This was a fun night! Hailey and I joined the Nelson family for some sushi and frozen yogurt... then we headed back to their house to talk and enjoy each others company :)

Hailey has taken my REALLY old film camera and likes to "take pictures" all the time... but it doesn't have film... Reese was enjoying a cat nap while we enjoyed our yummy sushi!

There are some gems from this photoset, but I'm only gonna post this one.. the rest are going to Facebook!

This truck has been parked by my work for the last few weeks and I finally stopped and got some AMAZING food :) It's called CulinaryCreationsTM (you can find them of FB) and they're the first food truck like this in Bakersfield... I am SO a fan!

My cat is a freak.. He's figured out how to get up on the counter and I turned around for TWO seconds and this is what I found....

This was what it looked like ALL DAY here... it never got above 40 degrees and it was just gloomy and misty and wet... the kid called and needed new shoes because she had run through the grass and her shoes were soaked and her feet were cold... so of course I took some dry shoes and socks to her :) The fog is kind of creepy...

Catch up post! January 4, 2010

Tuesday was my first day back at work and I must say it was HARD to get up :) We have our weekly meeting/ staff devotions on Tuesday and the Pastor mentioned the tumbleweed pile-up on the street behind the church so I HAD to go check it out... It was insane! Those are all tumbleweeds piled on each other in front of an eight foot wall... and it was like that for a good quarter mile or more.. they were out there with a bulldozer cleaning it up.. I got some funny looks because I stopped to take a picture *shrug* what?! Oh.. and I had to share this one too...

SNOW.... and my babies :)

This morning was spent worrying if the Grapevine would EVER open... But around noon I got word that it was open so I headed home.. Although I was annoyed that I was stuck in Orange County for an extra day (as annoyed as I could be with good friends...) I was also excited to drive through the snow! It was so pretty and I took lots of pictures :) I even got out in Gorman to play in the snow... and then realized I wasn't dressed for snow and got back in my car 'cause it was COLD! When I got home it took three trips up the stairs to get all the things up here and two trips down to get all the trash out (and I'm not even done unpacking Christmas yet!) Hailey and I were blessed this year with amazing gifts :) Oh yeah.. my cat is going nuts because I've been in and out of the house for about 4 weeks now... He's so annoyed with me :)

New Years take 2...

After much convincing and pestering.. I finally agreed to go out New Years night with Michelle, Rob, Vanessa, her boy and Dane... We went to Sunset for a little while and got super hyper.. so after we went to Norms and they put us in the back corner... These are the fries I ordered and ate at 3am :) There was LOTS of laughter and I lost my voice...

Happy New Year!

After an amazing progressive dinner we ended up at my good friends George and Jasmine's house for desserts, drinks and good conversations :) There are two versions of this picture... I was mad Dane had blown his noisemaker right in my face! Ringing in the New Year with two of my best friends in the world... As you should :)
